We've found that IE version 6.0.2479 rejects third party cookies that IE
version 6.0.2600 (and I) find totally acceptable.

Thanks, I have now found it. It seems that the validator is very happy about
having http-equiv headers, but IE6 is not. Which one of these
implementations that are faulty I don't know, but one is doing things
wrongly, thats clear.
