The W3C Multimodal Interaction Working Group is pleased to announce
the publication of the Last Call Working Draft of the Multimodal
Architecture and Interfaces specification.

This specification defines a general and flexible framework providing
interoperability among modality-specific components from different
vendors - for example, speech recognition from one vendor and
handwriting recognition from another.

Please send your comments to the Multimodal Interaction public mailing
list <www-multimodal@w3.org>.  When sending e-mail, please put the
