Mime message parser

Can anybody point me in the right direction? I am looking for a mime
message parser.  Desired functionality is as follows: after a message
has been picked up from the internet with various mime attachments, is
there a mime parser that will read the message and extract the various
attachments into separate files. 

Any help will be appreciated.
