FRANCE LEGALIZES BLUETOOTH
Bowing to market pressures, France's National Agency of Radio Frequencies
(ANFR) has lifted a controversial ban on electronic devices containing
Bluetooth wireless communications technology. The radio spectrum used by
Bluetooth conflicted with the band used for French military communications,
which ranges from 2.446 GHz to 2.483 GHz. The act takes effect January 1,
some months after Bluetooth products will begin appearing on the market.
