Hi.

The "longdiv" case of the <menclose> has a bar over the top of the
contents, as well as the ')' shaped part on the left.  The two parts
are connected, just as in the radical case.

In general, <menclose> is for notations that stretch both vertically
and horizonally to cover their contents.  The radical, US schools long
division, and the actuarial symbol are the main examples we could
think of.
