Re: MathML won't display (or: what triggers mathplayer behaviour?)

IE actually checks to see if it "thinks" the URL corresponds to a
file? That is just strange. Given the definition of a URL, there is no
guarantee that URLs of any particular type correspond to files (or to
dynamic content, either).

Is there some place that documents IE's behavior for extensions? Even
the exact mime type match problem is really weird. Why would they
program it this way?
