html5 in the door at W3C

Dear Friends,

Looking in at whatwg today I found that, as Roger Sidje suggested last
fall, the whatwg proposal for html5 has been laid on the table, not
yet with official draft status, as the next version of html.

See http://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/40318/htmlbg/results

Apparently the discussion will be at "public-html@w3.org".

It's unclear to me what this will mean for math on the web, but I am
hopeful.

Cheers.
