Hi www-math,

Based on the successful completion of the Math Working Group, whose
charter [1] expired in September 2003, the Math Activity is now closed.

It is expected that the Activity will be reopened again soon in order
to create a Math Interest Group with these goals:

- Maintaining the MathML 2.0 Recommendation
- Working with other W3C groups to develop generally applicable solutions
for XML in preference to specific extensions to MathML
- Ensuring ongoing compatibility between MathML and new and evolving
   W3C specifications
- Providing expertise supporting the use of MathML in appropriate contexts
to express mathematics in W3C specifications.

Thanks to everybody on this mailing list who contributed to the work
of the Math WG.

For the Math WG.
