This might be slightly tangential to your main interest, but the WebEQ
3 Editor will also generate content MathML.  It does so by translating
presentation into content, which isn't foolproof, but it also provides
some visual feedback on what the translation algorithm is doing which
helps a good deal.  See http://www.dessci.com/webmath for more on
