The OpenMath standard is a language for communicating mathematical information, allowing OpenMath compliant software to exchange mathematical objects in a meaningful way. OpenMath compliance is being planned or developed for products including: general purpose and specialized computer algebra systems; document preparation systems; web browsers; equation editors; databases containing mathematical information.
