We're using Libwww Version 5.1b to add a simple capability for retrieving URLs to our application. Unfortunately, if for one reason or another, the remote host can't be contacted, the software blocks for 75 seconds. Although I've traced this delay right down to the 'connect' system call, I can't see any simple way of reducing this timeout interval. Any help appreciated, Ian.
