HTTP only

Hi ,

I have an application in C on AIX that needs use of HTTP protocol .
libwww seems great but looks a little big for my need .
what do you advise to me ?
-> compile everything and use only libwwwhttp.a and maybe others libs
or
-> modify the Makefile if I can
