I found in cvs an SSL directory :
You can browse this one (http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/libwww/Library/src/SSL/)

In the 5.3.1 release, you must use  :
	 --with-ssl[=PATH]        Link with OpenSSL
for using SSL.
