Change of my status wrt libwww

Dear libwww'ers,

It has become time for me to try new things in life and so I am leaving W3C
to pursue Web protocol work at Microsoft with the open spirit that has been
the driving force of the Web from day one.

Jose Kahan, which you all know for providing the digest implementation,
interfacing libwww to Amaya and much more will take over some of the
maintenance but the majority of the work will continue to depend on you guys.

In fact, this is not really that much of a change - I have for a long time
been but one of many who have contributed to the code - libwww has a long
time made the transition to a fully open source project with a life of its
own.

I am therefore certain that the goodwill and creativity in the community
around libwww will be strong enough to keep it growing and developing. With
more than 1800 CVS checkouts over the last year, I have absolutely no doubt
that the collective amount of knowledge about useful Web interfaces and
implementation is there to make it happen. The discussions, new modules,
patches and fixes clearly show this!

W3C will of course still provide the support needed to run libwww as open
source project and provide write access to the people who can't help fixing
stupid bugs and providing new features. I am glad to say that Jose will be
maintaining the libwww home page.

Thank you all for your very inspiring work - I wish you the very best of luck!

Thank you,

Henrik
