HTML Formal Specs/Lexical Analizer/Parser

Dear,

I m currently experimentin w/ writing an HTML-parser BUT unfortunately I
can't find any HTML-structure formal specifications (in BNF for example
showing legal and illeagal tag sequences).

Also, if u can help me 2 get any already developed HTML lexical
analyser/parser as a guid, I would be grateful.
