I would like to gather some input on how many people have problems getting to the libwww CVS repository because of firewalls. We have no firewall on dev.w3.org but others who would like to contact it may. What are your experiences on firewalls and libwww - can CVS be compiled with SOCKS support? Is there any other ways of getting through firewalls? We are experimenting with SSH tunnels using dummy shells but are not quite there yet. If this is a serious problem then one thing to do may be to wrap up the repository as a tar ball on a regular basis but I would rather avoid that if possible. Thoughts?
