Jigsaw and SSL

Hi There

Since this is my first post, let me introduce myself briefly:

My name is Ingmar, I'm a software developer for an german sw-company
located in berlin. I'm 25 and interestet in Partys,
Client-Server-Programming and BeOS.

Now my question:

The FAQ (http://www.w3.org/Jigsaw/Doc/FAQ.html#ssl) implies that the
W3 distribution of Jigsaw does NOT include SSL. SLL is also nowhere
mentioned in connection with jigsaw on their site (release notes,
activities etc.) supporting this. Is this correct? Does the W3
distribution lack SSL?

There is a SLL module for Jigsaw by a 3rd party (IAIK Jigsaw-SSL,
http://jcewww.iaik.tu-graz.ac.at/Jigsaw/jigsaw.htm), a public domain
software (great) in beta stage (crap). Are there other SSL modules
available? Preferrably public domain/gnu and not beta/alpha.

Thanx for your time and help in advance

Ingmar
