If you are using the Javasoft Mac JDK, you've gone as far as you can. There's a bug in the JDK that prevents jigsaw from accepting connections. On the other hand, I don't know why everybody who's used jigsaw in a different environment (such as Cafe) has recompiled the whole package, rather than just using the .zip file in the classpath.
