A florin is the curly-descender f like you see in mathematical f(x).
We Mac users often employ that character as shorthand for "Folder"
(in fact, Netscape Navigator's prefs folder is named "Netscape ").
Hmm, that high-bit character I just typed will probably not look
right in everyone's email... ;)
