I wasn’t joking, actually. “Muster” also translates in English as 
example, sample, pattern. “Mustermann” is _the_ German placeholder 
family name, as is Doe in (American?) English.

I have used it on purpose. I have little reason to remember the name of 
that unkind person, and even if I did I wasn’t gonna tell.
