Hah! yes, that's a typo indeed. Just fixed it in CVS and in the demo.

Note that (if I understand some recent mail exchanges) the XHTML WG  
seems to consider the XHTML 1.0 appendix C to be outdated, so a next  
version of the library will probably follow updated guidelines.
