xhtml

I'm webmaster on www.granddanoisklubben.dk
<http://www.granddanoisklubben.dk/> . The site is for people interested
in Great Danes (dogs) in general, but also has specific information for
members of the Danish Great Dane Club.
The site is based on the following html/dtd: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC
"-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0
Transitional//EN""http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/loose.dtd">.
I would like to upgrade my site but even though I've gone through your
site I am still not quite sure which path to take:
 <http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/#xhtml1#xhtml1> XHTML 1.0 |
<http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/#html4#html4> HTML 4.01 |
<http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/#xhtml-basic#xhtml-basic> XHTML Basic |
<http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/#xhtml-modularization#xhtml-modularization>
Modularization of XHTML |  <http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/#xhtml11#xhtml11>
XHTML 1.1 ? Or?
Can you help?

Best regards,
