HTML Body Background as Color !

By Mistake I have supplied a color code as background to my page and found
that the page got reloaded twice whenever it is called... Why??

PAGE IS LOADED TWICE:
<BODY background="#F9F9F9"  bgcolor="#f4f4f4"> 
......
</BODY>
