xhtml Content-Type

Hi All,

sorry for my ignorance, but what is the proper Content-Type for xhtml
documents ?

Some say text/html, some say application/xhtml+xml, and some say text/xml
or text/xhtml.

Can someone shed some light on this, or point me to a thread where it was
discussed ?
