idea exchange

At one time, the exchange of ideas in this email group was great. Now I'm
getting bombarded with pointless email.  

Can anyone suggest an email discussion group that actually tackles
programming? 

I realize that by authoring this email I am fueling the fire, but at least
my email is about programming.....
