Yes, inline lists would be nice. Too bad they can't be declared in a
stylesheet.

A while back I bemoaned the 'list-item' display-type in CSS1, wishing display
types had been limited to block and inline. Because list-styling is confined to
CSS1 list-items and list-item is basically a block display-type, the above list
formatting can't be declared in CSS1.

Hopefully, list styling will be generalized in future CSS and list-item will be
deprecated.
