I requested this before, but I see the 3.2 spec on the W3 pages today
still has width set to %pixels

Here is an example of why I would like to see width %Length - the tables
auto scale nicely for scree width AND they are ***BALANCED*** evenly. I
could futz with pixel width all day to figure out the optimum size, and then
next time I have to change a product listing *boom* I have to do it all
over again. This looks good, and is simple, and it works in NS and MSIE.
(In Mosaic 2.7b2 SGI (the latest I've grabbed) it degrades nicely to a
bulletted list of headers and product pages.) Note I use a couple
of SSI's.

Since 3.2 supposedly documents current practice, and they added width
and height at the last minute, I can't see why this working, useful
feature was left out. If a browser supports tables but not width, it works
fine, content is maintained, appearance is just not as good.

*PLEASE* add this to 3.2.

Thank you.
