Yes, seems likely.  As Scott Preece mentioned, i was referring
to a my situation (similar to his) in which i do that majority
of my work *not* running a Microsoft operating system, and the
scope was "across the platforms i need" (as Scott wrote).

Sorry for cutting off the crucial sentence.
