I just wanted to post this in the hopes that Netscape will soon accept
the BGSOUND tag and future HTML designs will incorporate this or
something similar -- I am designing more and more web pages with
background music or sounds and can only use them with Microsoft's
Internet Explorer -- why is Netscape so stubborn against incorporating a
background sound tag? The EMBED tag is worthless to add background music
or soundtracks because it still requires user interaction to start the
sound, which is not the point. Netscape continues to lead the way, in
my opinion, but Internet Explorer seems to be getting closer to the
platform for better multimedia.
