Possible to include URL environment varible in document?

	I was wondering if it was possible to set an environment variable $URL
to pass on to a script. I.e. doc1.html is a html document . it contains a 
link to a script, when the script is executed. it still retains the link 
where from the script was called. that is the url of doc1 and has a 
button to return the user to the document after the script terminates and 
returns output.thanks...
