I don't know what package you are using to expand your CGI args, but it
should be too difficult to modify it to handle command line args in the
same way. In Perl you just want something on the order of:
join('&', @ARGV)
and then process the result.

I'm not sure which upsets me more: that people are so unwilling to accept
