HTML 4.01 Recomendation Document Error

The error can be found on:
- chapter: 5
- section: 5.2.1 Choosing an Encoding
- third paragraph

This is the sentence:

----Names for character encodings are case-insensitive, so that for 
example "SHIFT_JIS", "Shift_JIS", and "shift_jis" are equivalent.----

This sentence is not correct, is it?
