Hi,
while reading XHTML 2 WD I found that this new version uses namespace
like http://www.w3.org/2002/06/xhtml2. To me it seems as a big
architectural mistake. All elements that were present in XHTML 1.0/1.1
have almost the same meaning in XHTML 2. But if you will change
namespace then you will have completely new set of elements and all
applications that correctly (i.e. namespace-aware) interpret XHTML
1.0/1.1 will not be able to process and interpret XHTML 2 documents.
For that reason I suggest using namespace http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml
also for XHTML 2.0. Version of XHTML can be signaled by version
attribute on html element.
Regards,
Jirka
