Can the HTML element be updated to accept the ID attribute, as was changed in XHTML 1.0 Second Edition[1]? I don't see this change in the Second Edition of the XHTML Modularization[2]. Even better would be to update every element to accept the ID attribute and possibly the TITLE and CLASS attribute should be global too, like LANG is. That change is already made in XHTML 2.0 and now the XHTML Modularization is updated it wouldn't be a bad thing to include that right away.
