In reponse to your mail
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html-editor/2001OctDec/0696.html
about the XML Events specification
http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/WD-xml-events-20011026/

I have summarised your comments, and include our response:

* There is a problem using ID/IDREF in the absence of a schema or DTD

We agree that this is true. There is nothing we can do about it however,
since it is an architectural problem of XML. We assume the User Agent can
identify the elements using some method not further specified.

We assume that you agree with this response, and so therefore expect no
reply from you. If you have a response please reply to this message within
two weeks.

Many thanks, and best wishes,

Steven Pemberton
