Hi,

http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/struct/objects.html#adef-width-IMG

says:

"User agents should do their best to scale an object or image to match
the width and height specified by the author."

...but there's no real guidelines on what should be done when one of
HEIGHT or WIDTH is missing. Many current browsers assume a scale factor
which preserves the IMG's aspect ratio -- IMHO the right decision.

Can this be specified in a future HTML spec?

Thanks,
Murray
