Is XForms data binding a sort of prior art?

Sorry to bother some of you who may be off interest.
I encountered a patent application named "Application
Data Binding", Pub. No: US 20050038796. You can get it
from http://www.uspto.gov/patft/index.html
I am wondering if that application is valid or not, or
if granted, any impact to xforms's data binding?
