how to reset just a part of an model

Hi.

Considering a multi-screens form, each screen 'implemented' by a
xforms:case
and proposing a 'reset' trigger to reset the data concerned in the case
(and only in the case).

Do you know how to do the reset of the part of the model (i.e. a nodeset
of an instance) 
concerned, and only this part. (so without using xforms:reset) ?
