ANN: formsPlayer 1.3 Available / RSS Reader Side-bar / XML Cookies / System Tray Messages

Hello all,

A fully functioning RSS reader written entirely in XHTML and XForms is now
available. It currently works as a side-bar in the latest version of
formsPlayer, but could easily be supported in other XForms processors. The
application also demonstrates:

 * using states to drive complicated forms, with xf:bind
   and @relevant;

 * using CSS and xf:bind to render a 'tabbed dialog' look,
   without having to use script;

 * some of the new features of formsPlayer, such as:

   - the 'cookie:' protocol which allows saving and loading
     of instance data to and from the file system (without
     requiring dialog box prompts);

   - 'system tray' messages using xf:message.

Other new features in version 1.3 are:

 * 'system tray' icons;

 * @relevant and @validate from the XForms 1.1 draft.

Download details are available in the latest formsPlayer bulletin, issued
yesterday, which also has screenshots of the RSS reader and a link to a
video showing the application in action:
