XForm as a singular term

I recall that some time back it was indicated that "XForm" as a singular term 
was deprecated.

It seems to me inevitable that the term XForm will become widespread.

For an example, take a look at

In practice an author has the choice in an article or book on XForms of 
writing "XForms form" multiple times or neologising and using "XForm". The 
shorter, more succinct term will likely win out, in my view.
