Invoking XMLP Services Directly from Web Forms

Gaurav Misra and I have been working with XFORMs+SOAP ideas for
handheld appliances. We've come up with a proposal for how
XFORMs might relate to XMLP aka SOAP:

This is just a proposal: lots of details could be wrong.
A recent twist that we haven't tested is the idea of
embedding a complete proto-message in the xform:instance.
If we can figure out how to make this work, then XMLP+XFORMs
would be particularly powerful: a form becomes a message
editor.

I welcome your questions, comments, and suggestions.

John.
