XPath date manipulation functions /XPath 2.0

 
Should XForms import some required functions into its core XPath library
for date manipulation? (date arithmetic, extraction of date values such
as month, day, year, timezone, etc)
 
For example, one might wish to use the now() function, extract the
timezone, and use it to determine other parts of the form.
