Today, Mozilla has formally announced @font-face support for WOFF fonts, to be implemented in Firefox 3.6 (beta release expected within a few days; nightly builds are available for adventurous users). The announcement can be found on the Mozilla blog: http://blog.mozilla.com/blog/2009/10/20/mozilla-supports-web-open-font-format/ with a more detailed post on hacks.mozilla.org: http://hacks.mozilla.org/2009/10/woff/ We hope this move will encourage font vendors to license fonts for use in WOFF format, other browser vendors to press forward with implementing similar support for WOFF, and web designers to explore new typographic possibilities as a wider range of fonts become available for Web use.
