Please do not assume malice.  Your posts came just as a week-long
argument on the topic was petering out.  What may have seemed like
criticism directed solely at you was in fact a request for *all*
participants to take the discussion to a more appropriate venue, namely
the reactivated www-font@w3.org (follow-ups set).
