Problem with UUencoding and Juno

Hello, I am writing about the www4mail server at
www4mail@wm.ictp.trieste.it.

It seems that whenever Juno users (@juno.com) request a file through
this server, the server *always* UUencodes the file, even if it has
previously been UUencoded or it text.

Could this behavior possibly be corrected? There is, after all, the
"xuuencode" command so the user can explicitly specify UUencoding.

Thank you for your time,
Brian L. Johnson
