I suppose it is sad that a word meaning effeminate should naturally
come to evolve a sense with only the pejorative connotations of
cowardace, but them's the breaks man. Etymologically speaking, it's
only very distantly related to the word for cat.

Milton wasn't an (A. 1. b., noun) pussy.
