On a more general note, shouldn't anything available in a Toolbar (or
Tool Palatte), also be available somewhere via a menu? or a keyboard
shortcut? By the time I go to all the trouble to display that special
characters tool on my screen (and find room for it) I could go to the
source code and type — (which is what I usually do). A Special
Characters option under the Insert menu would be more consistent with
the other editing programs that I use . . .

Amaya 10.1 (August 28, 2008)
[note: it might be helpful if the version information that comes up in
the "About Amaya" box, matched the release versions on the download
page. I only just recently discovered that I was a few versions behind,
and there really wasn't an easy way to tell if the version you all were
discussing was the same as the version I had on my machine]
