Hi,

Like you, I also discovered by any chance how to avoid the crash. I 
looked what was the command lauching Amaya, and I see a before the name 
of the program :

env XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1

Maybe you should check if Nautilus uses the same type of command to 
launch Amaya...
