On GNU/Linux? You have to use the X clipboard functionality:

	1. Mark block of text you want to copy with left mouse button.
	2. Click with middle mouse button where you want to paste.

 Obviously integration with GNOME/KDE/Etc. clipboard would be nice but
this is workable...
