I'm glad it works for you now.

You know that only one instance of Amaya is allowed. This is very useful when 
you launch amaya from your mailer. If an instance is already running, the new 
document is sent to that instance.
Perhaps in your case, Amaya thinks that another version was there and refused 
to start.
